Now, we are bringing this service to the Lancaster County Community by offering personalized non-medical care in the home.

Answers to your questions
Connections at Home VIA Willow Valley understands that it is not always easy to have a non-family member care for the one you love. Below are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions others have asked us. Connections at Home provides Companion Services, Homemaking Services, Personal Assistance, Respite Care, Dementia/Memory Care and Wellness Check-In’s. Please see the Services page and the Quality Care Equals Peace of Mind page for a complete listing of our services.
Before services are started, a member of the Connections at Home team will give you a detailed explanation of all costs associated with your care. You will receive a monthly statement in the mail and payment will be sent to Connections at Home VIA Willow Valley. Never will you have to pay a Caregiver directly. Because the services offered by Connections at Home are of non-medical nature, they are not covered by Medicare. If you have long term care insurance, some of the services may be paid by your insurance company. Please be sure to check your policy for details. If you have any questions about your policy, before you speak with your provider, a Team Member can review it with you.
Yes they are. Connections at Home Caregivers are bonded and insured and receive criminal background checks, professional training, and expert supervision in order to meet Willow Valley Communities high standard of excellence.
Once an assessment is completed and a service plan is put into place, every effort is made to have the same Caregiver connect to your mom. However, because of schedules, the same Caregiver might not always be available. We will be sure to match another Caregiver to your mom’s personality who will deliver the same great, unsurpassed care.
Simply call 717-299-6941, and a Team Member will arrange for a no-charge nursing assessment to determine the needs of the client. You can also complete the Contact Us form on the website and Connections at Home Team Member will call you.

Yes, they are. As part of the Department of Health regulations, all of our Caregivers are trained to deliver compassionate, customized care for those with memory challenges. Please see the dementia/memory care page under the Specialized Care tab for more information.
No. As Team Members, our Caregivers are compensated for their work. It is our policy that they do not accept tips or gifts from clients.
A service plan is designed for each Connections at Home client tailored to meet his or her needs. A copy of this plan is available in each client’s home. You may review this plan at any time, and we are happy to discuss it with you.
Yes. However, you must apply for the VA Aid and Attendance benefit first. If you have any specific questions about the benefit, please ask a Team Member for assistance and we will be glad to explain it and help you get the necessary VA paperwork to complete.
